Crikey, I've really got to stop with the "see you on the weekend, lj!"... and, then, take four months to post again.
Then again, this hiatus was only half as long as the other one, so, baby steps?
Things is, sometimes (and maybe I've written about this before? Don't remenber.) I make this awesome (or so I think, anyway) posts in my head, while stuff is happening, or I'm on the bus, bored to death. But then, by the time I get home, I've forgotten all about it. I've even tried taking this little notebook with me to places, just so I can write whatever pops up in my head - except I keep forgetting the thing. Yeah, I know, my level of commitment is really something, innit?
Of course, other times, I just have nothing interesting to say.
Anyway, I'll be doing some updating on this lj, going to check my flist, the fandoms, and, maybe, I won't disappear again.
Oooh, does anyone have reccs of good layout makers?

1. I lost my flashdrive, which means I lost: a bunch of photos a took, a bunch of icons I was making, and all the icons resources I collected over the years. FML.
2. I've become a fan of Supernatural. For years I refused to watch the thing because I thought it was just a scary show (I'm a wuss), with not that hot leading men (I know, I'm weird), that wasn't very good (then again, I watch Grey's Anatomy, so what do I know?). But then September came and everyone seemed to be talking about it, and there I was, stuck at home dieing of something that looked too much like the new flu and it was either marathoning the fourth series of Supernatural or reading Madame Bovary.
And, y'know, it's not bad. It's fun, the plot is interesting and complex enough, they can be very serious when they want to and the characters are really interesting for the most part. They do have issues of course, but what doesn't? (Maybe I'll write a proper review one day) Can't wait 'till the next episodes.
3. Talking about issues, I saw The End of Time and... yeah. I'm not gonna write a review of this one because I already read other people's opinions and wouldn't be saying anything new. 'Sides, I'm still bitter about some stuff. That said, O HAI ELEVEN! I love your legs too.
4. Does anyone know if there's a way to transform videos into gifs?

I'm going to make an inventory of the icons I managed to upload and then take a look at my resource's page, now. I'll see if I manage to update again on the weekend.

Here's the thing: if you tell yourself you plan to write on your lj regularly, chances are your studies and your health and just life, really, will eat your brain and one day you'll realise it's been close to eight months since you last updated. Because Fate's a bitch and your Professors all think it's perfectly suitable to ask you to read three books a week.
But, hey, at least I'm not dead, and now I'm already thinking of things to post about.
I hope you guys are all well and I'm sorry I haven't been reading my flist. I missed reading your posts!

Just watched Romance. If you ever got a chance, check it out, it's amazing. Best movie I've seen this year, so far!

OMG, I have so many things to read and write, guys!
So, since I don't even know where to begin, I just do the most logical thing which is read Joan Hess instead of all the important people I should be reading... *sigh* hey, at least it was fun...
My posting schedule has gone to the dogs and I don't know when I'll update again, see you when I see you, I guess!

Me, Sunday whilst frolicking around the city: "lalala, Watchmen, lalala, new books... oooh, the sky looks bad, should I buy an umbrella? Nah, don't want to wast money."
Me, Monday: dieing.
Me, Tuesday: sleeping all they long (after sending an email to my teacher after telling her I was sick).
Yesterday I finally managed to go to classes. My teacher said she found a pen that I had lost. I already had bought another one (it's the perfect pen, I can't write without it), so I gave it to her because she said she loved it. By 9 am I started feeling bad. (I was feeling cold the whole day and by that time the day was getting hot and I was still feeling cold) When I got home I realised I had a fever. Not cool.
Now my head is killing me and my throat kinda hurts, but I'm way better than yesterday, thank God.
Just so this entry isn't completely useless, here, have a photo of the Farroupilha Park:

by me, obvs.

On the one hand, I want to see Watchmen again very, very much. On the other, it will end after midnight and being a broke student, I really don't want to pay for a taxi.
Besides, I have a truckload of stuff to read for Monday and wasting 3 hours on a movie isn't the smartest move in the world.
On the other other hand, I'll have to go to the mall tomorrow to pay some bills, anyway, and if I get there in time for a afternoon session...
(By the way, I have so many things to do this week, I don't even know how I'm going to make time. =()
Oh, yeah, I was supposed to write a review, wasn't I?
So, Coraline.
Spoilers? I dunno.Collapse )

Hey guys, long time no see!
1. You know, it really bothers me that the majority of my entries start like that. Seriously, what's the point of having a journal, if you're not going to write in it (or comment at other people's journals, for that matter)? Thing is, as awful as it is, I'm a wee bit lazy when it comes to writing. I have a bunch of ideas every day and compose 10 essays during a bus ride on my head, but I rarely ever write these things down and then, when I get home, the moment passed, or I get caught up doing other things... and it's all ridiculous! I'm studying to be a Literature/English/Portuguese teacher (whatever they're offering...) and writing is something I should be doing.
But, at least it's not more ridiculous than just how self-aware I am of what I write. Sometimes I don't post stuff because I think "does anyone care?", which is a completely bonkers thought since this is the internet and everything posted is so on the basis that someone wants to read it (even if its a essay on how Wilson/House is the vanilla version of Dan/Rorschach. Please, don't ask).
So, I decided to come up with a schedule, so, this way, I know that I have to write something, anything, and, if I don't follow the schedule (which we all know is bound to happen), at least a can look at it and "oh, it's been a week since I wrote anything", instead of "holly crap, it's been 3 months already??".
So, every Wednesday, I'll write dear diary stuff, things that happened that week, things like that.
Saturday, I'll write reviews of things I watched/read (and that's all I did this Summer, so there's a bunch of that).
And Sunday, I'll post picspams, icons, pictures I took...
2. OH, DID I MENTION? I got a new camera! An actual camera, that's not attached to a mobile! A Kodak 6MP Camera that's pretty and shiny and apparently doesn't react well to cold temperatures! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Erm, where was I?
rant, rant, rantCollapse )ETA: cut! Hadn't realised how long this was!

I should threaten Nature more often.
I woke up today and it was raining, so I went back to sleep, because, really, I'm on holiday and there's nothing better than sleeping to the sound of the rain.
